]]> Bellevue School District is creating an equity policy, and is holding “What Does Racial Equity Mean to You?” meetings to hear from parents and students. Equity is NOT Equality. It is important that we raise concerns and let our voices be heard. Please attend the meetings if you can. Otherwise, please fill out their equity survey to let them know that we want equality, no preferential treatment.

Meeting time and locations:

  • March 13 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Odle Middle School
  • March 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at WISC Baker Room
  • March 20 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at WISC Adams Room
  • March 22 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Sammamish High School
  • March 29 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Bellevue High School

Wondering what the Department of Equity has been doing? Pushing for racial equity. Their Report on Equity presentation was not shy about this racial equity agenda. Their  “The BOOM Experience is a program designed for male students that racially identify as African, Black, Hispanic, LatinX, Native American, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander or mix of any, who are in grades 7-12 in the Bellevue School District”. And their “The SHOUT Experience is a program designed for female students that racially identify as African, Black, Hispanic, LatinX, Native American, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander or mix of any, who are in grades 7-12 in the Bellevue School District.” Why have dedicated programs for certain racial groups? Why not just programs for all who are interested?
